Kiddyland Teachers:
Emily is the holder of a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Asian Studies from De la Salle University and a post-baccalaureate certificate in Education from Philippine Normal University. She worked with preschool age children at her alma mater St. Stephen’s High School from 1990-2010.
After her arrival in Canada, Emily obtained both an international American Montessori Society (AMS) certificate and an Early Childhood Education (ECE) license to practice in British Columbia.
For Emily, teaching is a labor of love and a work of heart. Every day is a new learning experience for Emily and the children under her guidance.
Raised in a multicultural society, Emily speaks English, Mandarin Chinese, Fujianese and Tagalog.
Ms. Gemma has over ten years of training in the Early Education Field. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education (Major in Social Science), Licensed Professional Teacher certification, and is a candidate for a Master of Arts in Education (Major in Early Childhood Education) in the Philippines.
Ms. Gemma has extensive experience working with children including the role of Assistant Academy Directress and as an early childhood teacher.
In 2019, she completed her Early Childhood Educator Assistant course from Vancouver Community College and received an Early Childhood Educator Assistant Certificate from the BC Ministry of Children and Family Development.
In her spare time, Ms. Gemma enjoys graphic design, working with Photoshop and spending time with family.
Ms. Victoria is a certified Early Childhood Educator in B.C., in addition to holding a Master of Education degree from Thompson Rivers University. She has worked in various centres including a Montessori early learning centre in Kamloops, B.C. She also holds an International Mandarin Teaching License.
Ms. Victoria’s philosophy focuses on creating an inclusive learning environment for every child, encouraging them to grow through purposeful learning, doing and playing.
In her spare time Ms. Victoria is passionate about hiking, cooking and traveling.
Jackie has been working with children and their families for 20 years. Jackie is the proud owner of Early Childhood Educator and AMI Montessori certificates. Jackie also holds a facilitator certificate for the ``Nobody's Perfect`` parenting program. In her spare time Jackie loves to spend time with family as well as reading, beading and volunteering for non-profit organizations.
Ms. Shirley was the owner of her own infant toddler child care centre for ten years. Shirley is a certified ECE teacher and also holds a teaching certificate from the North American Montessori Centre.
Shirley believes in the importance of early childhood education and strives to provide a healthy and trustful environment that will allow the children in her care to maximize their social, emotional, cognitive and physical development.
